QA Manager Full-time

at Mutiara Etnik Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam, Selangor

QC Task

  1. To assist the Site Superintendent & coordinate the supervisor’s activity, carry out & implement the QA/QC program, arrange & conduct meeting under the Site Superintendent direction.
  2. To visit the construction site daily to check whether all works, materials, equipment, are in accordance with QA/QC program, Project drawing & specification. When defective materials, equipment, or workmanship are found, immediate action to be taken to correct them, & to report the corrective action to the Site Superintendent.
  3. To conduct all required tests in accordance with contract documents and to prepare fill in & sign all reports & forms as necessary for the compliance with Contract Quality Standards.
  4. Carrying out preliminary inspection of materials of construction & reviewing the material certificate.
  5. Planning / organizing and checking of work progress & schedules to meet the deadlines/target dates & implementing QA/QC plans.
  6. To check all repairs are performed correctly & non destructive tests are regularly repeated.
  7. To obtain any necessary approval for changing as appropriate procedure & for reforming requiring special procedures.
  8. Preparing the QA/QC Dossier for the project, support service for the commissioning the compressor.
  9. Identifying & issuing of non-conformity as observed during working.
  10. Coordinating with quality control departments & representing matters with the client.
  11. Erection & joining of beams for shift lift platform.
  12. Planning work execution as per work vender specifications / requirements & work target.
  13. Supervising & coordinating with work force in executing job to completion on time as per work plan & with safety precautions/procedures.
  14. Conducting through stage-wise inspection as per procedures / codes as well as alignment & assembly of equipment at site during installation.
  15. Estimating of material requirements after study of vendor drawings & specifications.

QA Task
1) To monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and that all actions and
findings pertaining to the QMS is properly documented and implemented, and to co-ordinate that the quality related documents are updated and utilised by the relevant functions and departments in a systematic manner.

3) To be responsible for maintenance of controlled documents, including the quality manuals, relevant codes, WPS and related documents including monitoring the use of these within the company.
4) To provide support to the relevant departments through recommendation and inputs on quality matters, including initiation and implementation of Work Methods and Quality Plans.
5) To assist and to co-ordinate periodic quality audits in accordance with the Quality Management System, and hence, to identify and recommend areas for improvements in accordance to findings of the audits.To participate in the improvement processes through continuous investigation with the related functions and departments through implementation of improved and revised work methods and updated SOP and procedures.
6) To co-ordinate the completion of project related quality documents for quality implementation or for quality records.
7) To co-ordinate with the relevant external parties relating to quality matters. This could include audits of contractors, suppliers as well as related co-ordination with inspection agencies, for statutory or third party appraisal requirements, and customers in matters related to quality assurance and inspection.
8) To be responsible for coordination and the qualification of necessary procedures, including WPS, and maintenance of these. To liaise with QC department on the qualification.

Job Requirement

  • Possess Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Quality Management of QA/QC for building/infrastructure projects/experience in construction QA/QC environment
  • Implementation of QA/QC with effective skill to review and implement quality systems for various phases of site progress.
  • Preferably with some experience of using inspection and measuring equipments.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia .
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
  • Proficient in Computer Microsoft suite and Office tools
